Welcome, select a print or an original painting. Request an individual art class or group workshop. My art bio has more information.
I started painting at a young age after visiting an art museum for painting lessons. While walking through the museum I hoped that my paintings would someday be on exhibit. My grandparent's farm would provide the inspiration for my landscapes and machinery. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition and I became a rifle range coach. That is when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching.
Years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. The Hickory Museum of Art has exhibited my paintings and I exhibit my art online. I've also created art for a published children's book and was asked to paint a mural for the ABC show Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I enjoy teaching art and I was voted Teacher of the Year in 2015. During the summer I enjoy painting and hiking the mountains with my camera. I teach individual or group workshops so contact me if you want to improve your drawing and painting skills.
When I reflect on my work, I realize that being an artist is a blessing. I enjoy the painting process and I want to thank those who have purchased my originals and prints over the years. Painting really is like keeping a diary. I also learned that having your art exhibited in a museum is nice but the internet can exhibit your art globally.
I offer fun individual or group workshops so contact me if you want to improve your drawing and painting skills. I also have a philanthropic gallery that supports The Wounded Warrior Project and more. Enjoy selecting one of my museum quality framed prints or I can paint an original for you. You can now purchase my art to wear on a t-shirt!
If you have any questions or comments send me an email. Thank you.
