Artist's Description

I painted this Rhino using watercolors. Our family visited the North Carolina Zoo and I was inspired to paint these amazing creatures. I hope to raise awareness of there endangered status. Very few remain on Earth. The original painting is only 4 inches by 6 inches and is for sale.

My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes and transportation art. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition, and I became a rifle range instructor. That's when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. Years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. The Hickory Museum of Art has exhibited my paintings and I exhibit my art online. I've also created art for a published children's book.
