I started painting at age ten after visiting an art museum. My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition and became a rifle range coach. Several years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. The Hickory Museum of Art has exhibited my paintings and I've created art for a published children's book. I was also asked to paint a mural for the ABC show Extreme Makeover Home and Ty Pennington was my boss for a week. I'm also an art educator and during the summer I enjoy painting and hiking the mountains with my camera. I love teaching workshops so contact me if you want to improve your drawing, painting, or photography skills.
When I reflect on my work, I realize that art has been a blessing in my life. I enjoy the painting process and I want to thank those who have purchased my originals and prints over the years. Enjoy selecting one of my museum quality prints or I can paint an original for you. If you have any questions or comments just send me an email. Thank you for visiting.
