I painted this big rig with acrylic paint. I had a chance to ride in one of these once. My uncle let me ride along in the cab while traveling to another state. I mostly slept a lot inside the sleeper during the trip.

My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes and transportation art. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition, and I became a rifle range instructor. That's when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. Years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
