I painted this watercolor scene after visiting relatives in Brevard, North Carolina. This view is near their mountain home around November. I wanted to capture the fall color and the distant Blue Ridge Mountains. We often hike nearby trails in DuPont State Forest and camp on Mount Pisgah. This wooden bench provides a nice spot to take a break and enjoy the view.

My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes and transportation art. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition, and I became a rifle range instructor.
