I was invited to a Civil War reenactment and I noticed actors playing cards before the battle. A similar moment may have actually occurred during our nation's history.

My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes and transportation art. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition, and I became a rifle range instructor. That's when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. Years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
